Claire graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2010 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and has since worked in the UK in hospitals and private practice. In 2012 she completed a certificate in acupuncture with masters accreditation gaining skills both dry needling and traditional Chinese medicine. She has successfully completed courses in sports massage and kinesio taping.
She also holds membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine allowing her to keep up to date with the latest research and applying them to her practice.
Claire has provided acute injury cover for a variety of sporting events both in the UK and UAE so is familiar with a range of sporting demands and their injuries. She has particular physiotherapy experience within cycling, running and triathlon and has worked with world class athletes such as the Brownlee brothers. As a skilled physiotherapist she is able to transfer these practice principles across other sports or musculoskeletal disorders.
As well as musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, Claire has interests and experience in pain neuroscience, occupational health and workplace injuries, biomechanics, and dry needling.
Claire brings a manual therapy skill-set alongside a strong exercise-based rehabilitation emphasis as well as dry needling techniques, if required, to manage injuries through a thorough rehabilitation plan aimed at restoring full (and better!) function and preventing their recurrence.
