Face

1. Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery is also called blepharoplasty. It is done to correct the puffiness, sagging and drooping of upper eyelids. It is also used to remove excess skin and bags under the lower eyelids. Blepharoplasty improves the appearance of your eyelids and the area around it to give you a younger and more relaxed look.

2. Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to repair or reshape the nose. It can improve the size, shape and the angle of the nose and create a proportion with the rest of your face. It is also performed to correct structural problems with the nose. There are two main rhinoplasty techniques:

Open Rhinoplasty

Open rhinoplasty, also called external rhinoplasty, is an approached of rhinoplasty in which a small incision is made on the nose, over the columella between the nostrils, in addition to several other incisions inside the nose. The transcolumellar incision improves the surgical access to the nasal framework by allowing the surgeon to fold the nasal skin upward. This provides better visibility on the entire nasal framework, in its natural undisturbed alignment. Open rhinoplasty can be performed in patient with thick or thin nasal skin. It is indicated in the following conditions:

  • Major augmentation with tip, columellar, spreader and/or shield grafts
  • Correction of complex nasal deformities such as cleft lip, palate nasal deformity and deviated septum or nasal trauma
  • Revision rhinoplasty
  • Excision of nasal tumor
  • Treatment of internal nasal valve dysfunction
  • Nasal tip modification
  • Surgical repair of septal perforations
  • Rhinoplasty in non-Caucasian ethnic groups
Closed Rhinoplasty

Closed rhinoplasty, also known as endonasal rhinoplasty, is an approach of rhinoplasty where all the surgical incisions are made inside the nose without any external incisions.  Closed rhinoplasty is employed for the correction of aesthetic deformity of the nose as well as for the management of anatomic nasal airway obstruction.

3. Ear Correction

Ear reshaping, also known as otoplasty, is a surgical procedure carried out to correct defects affecting the external ear.

4. Lip augmentation

Lip augmentation is a cosmetic treatment to give you fuller and more attractive lips. It is usually performed by injecting the lips with a substance known as a filler.

Modern fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the body. Collagen or fat may also be used, but hyaluronic acid fillers have proven to be safer, last longer and have better results. Besides the filler, the injection may also contain lidocaine, an anesthetic to improve comfort.

5. Facelift (Mini Facelift, Full Facelift, Thread lift)

Facelift is a cosmetic surgery (rhytidectomy) performed to rejuvenate the facial skin and to give a younger and aesthetic appearance. Facelift is performed to clear the smile lines, smooth the contour and tighten the neck so as to give you the look as younger as you feel.

Breast

1. Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation, also known as augmentation mammoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the size and shape of the breasts by inserting implants.

2. Breast Lift

Sagging breasts are a real concern for many women. Loss of skin elasticity, gravity and other factors such as pregnancy and nursing can cause the breasts to lose their natural shape and firmness.

A breast lift or Mastopexy is a cosmetic breast surgical procedure to lift and reshape the sagging breasts. Mastopexy may also involve repositioning the areola and nipple. Some women may have small breast or may have lost a significant amount of breast volume after pregnancy. In such cases placement of breast implants in addition to breast lift may be required to increase the size and firmness of the breasts. The implants are placed most often underneath the breast tissue or under the muscle of the chest wall.

3. Breast Reduction

Breast reduction, also known as reduction mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure employed to remove excess fat, tissue and skin from the breasts. It is indicated to reduce the size and volume of large, heavy and drooping breasts.

Many approaches are used. Two techniques commonly used to treat moderate to large breasts include:

  • Vertical scar: This is a breast reduction procedure where your surgeon makes an incision around your areola and vertically down to the crease, in the shape of a lollipop. This is indicated in those who require only moderate reduction in size. It results in less scarring than the traditional technique (that requires an additional incision along the breast crease) and fewer complications. However, the technique may not be suitable for larger breasts as it does not allow removal of large amounts of tissue and skin, and may leave a small fold of skin at the bottom of the vertical scar.
  • Benelli technique: For this surgery, your doctor makes an incision around the outer margin of the areola and another incision in the breast skin surrounding the first incision. The second incision may be symmetrical to the first or wider on top to allow more skin to be removed from the upper breast. The advantage of the Benelli technique is that it results in minor scarring.

4. Breast Reconstruction

Primary breast reconstruction involves reconstructing the breasts immediately after excising a part or complete breast tissue. This is beneficial for the patient since two major surgeries are combined into a one-time procedure. However, immediate breast reconstruction may not be preferred if the patient has to undergo radiation therapy after breast cancer surgery. In such cases, your surgeon may insert temporary breast implants or tissue expanders or perform skin reduction during mastectomy to restore the shape of your breast. Delayed breast reconstruction is then recommended 6-9 months after the last session of radiation or chemotherapy. Delayed reconstruction can be performed at any time following removal of a part or the complete breast if further cancer treatments are not needed. This surgery is performed even after several years following breast removal.

4. Breast Implant

Breast implants are artificial shells made of rubber filled with sterile saline or silicone gel which is surgically implanted below the breast tissue for cosmetic purposes to augment the shape and size of the breast or for breast reconstruction. Breast reconstruction may be performed after mastectomy or loss of breast tissue secondary to trauma or injury. In a few cases, it may also be performed to rectify a birth defect. Breast implants can be placed either under or over the chest muscles.

Body

1. Liposculturing/Liposuction

Liposuction, or simply lipo, is a type of fat removal procedure used in plastic surgery. Evidence does not support an effect on weight beyond a couple of months and it does not appear to affect obesity related problems. In the United States it is the most commonly done cosmetic surgery.

2. Tummy Tuck/Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty is performed under general anesthesia. There are two types of tummy tuck procedures: complete abdominoplasty and partial or mini abdominoplasty.

Complete abdominoplasty is one where a long incision is made from hipbone to hipbone along the bikini line. The abdominal wall muscles are tightened, excess skin and fat are removed and the belly button is relocated with respect to the abdominal skin.

3. Brazilian Butt Augmentation

Brazilian butt augmentation is a surgical procedure that changes the contour of your buttocks to obtain a fuller, shapely, youthful buttock. The procedure involves the transfer of fat cells from parts of your own body to certain areas of the buttocks to create the desired outcome.

Brazilian butt augmentation is recommended for healthy individuals with buttocks that are small, flat, asymmetrical, sagging or have lost their shape after massive weight loss.

4.Thigh lift

A thigh lift is a cosmetic surgery performed to tighten sagging thigh muscles and remove excess skin from the thighs to restore a more youthful and pleasing body contour. Thigh lift is particularly beneficial for individuals with large amounts of loose hanging skin on the thighs. This usually occurs due to lack of skin elasticity related to aging or a major weight loss.

4. Arm Lift

Arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a cosmetic procedure that removes excessive fat and skin over the underarm and elbow. It helps in toning your arms and providing an appealing contour to them. Advancing age, weight fluctuations and genetic factors result in sagging and drooping of the upper arms that can hamper your appearance.

5. Body Lift

Body lift is a cosmetic procedure to shape and tone the underlying tissue, supporting the excessive fat and skin in the region of the breast, abdomen, buttocks, and thighs. Body lift involves removal of the excessive fat and sagging skin that results in poor tissue elasticity and hampers the personal appeal of the individual. The various procedures employed for body lift can be broadly categorized as:

  • Lower body lift: It includes lower body parts such as tummy, thighs, buttocks, and back
  • Upper body lift: It includes upper body parts such as breasts, chest and middle back
Hand
  • Carpal Tunnel
  • Sulcus Ulnaris Syndrom
  • Arthritis
  • Nerve, Vessels, and Tendon Injuries
Men

1. Breast Shapening/Gynecomastia

Male gynecomastia is an abnormal condition characterized by breast enlargement in males. Occasionally they may also secrete milk. This condition may also be seen in neonates, adolescents and elderly individuals, as a part of physiological changes.

Male gynecomastia can affect one or both breasts. Generally, gynecomastia does not produce any harmful effect on the body but it may induce undue stress and embarrassment that can impact the active sex life of the affected individual. Male gynecomastia can also cause psychological damage or loss of self-esteem in adolescents.

2. Liposuction

Liposuction, or simply lipo, is a type of fat removal procedure used in plastic surgery. Evidence does not support an effect on weight beyond a couple of months and it does not appear to affect obesity related problems. In the United States it is the most commonly done cosmetic surgery.

How long does it take to recover from liposuction?

About two weeks

Under most circumstances, when liposuction is an outpatient procedure, recovery is usually quick. Most people can return to work within a few days and to normal activities within about two weeks. You should expect bruising, swelling and soreness for a least a few weeks.

Is Liposuction permanent?

Liposuction permanently removes fat cells, altering the shape of the body. However, if the patient does not lead a healthy lifestyle after the operation, there is a risk that the remaining fat cells will grow bigger. The amount of fat that can be safely removed is limited.

How long does it take to see results from liposuction?

Final results usually take between 6-12 months, but most patients see the beginning of results within one month. Usually by 3 weeks much of the swelling is down and most patients are looking better than before the surgery and are able to wear a swimsuit and go on vacation.
