Dr. Samir Joseph Challita is a specialist in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Medicine with extensive international training and over a decade of clinical experience. He began his specialty training at Saint Joseph University in Beirut and completed advanced specialization in Paris, France. He practiced in both Paris and Lebanon for more than 10 years before joining the Harley Street Medical Centre. He has been practicing as an attending physician in pulmonary medicine, critical care, and sleep medicine since 2015, currently serving at Notre Dame Maritime Hospital and Keserwan Medical Center Hospital, affiliated with AUBMC. Earlier in his career, he practiced as a Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician at Monla Hospital, Tripoli.
Dr. Challita completed advanced postgraduate training in pulmonary medicine and intensive care at Saint Joseph University, Beirut, and further specialized through the DFMS program at Paris-Est Créteil University, France. His academic background is strengthened by a Master’s degree in Public Health from Paris Sud University, along with university degrees in Sleep Medicine, Pulmonary and Systemic Diseases, and Addiction Medicine from leading French and Lebanese institutions. He also holds a Diploma in Lung Ultrasound from WINFOCUS, Geneva.
His clinical expertise includes comprehensive pulmonary care, intensive care medicine, and advanced sleep medicine services, with a particular focus on sleep disorder consultations and interpretation of full polysomnography studies. Dr. Challita is also trained in Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), having completed hands-on training at Hôtel-Dieu de Paris.
Actively engaged in continuous medical education, he has participated in specialized pulmonology seminars, tuberculosis elimination programs, and severe asthma clinical exchanges across Europe. Dr. Challita is a long-standing member of the Order of Physicians of Beirut and the European Respiratory Society (ERS), reflecting his commitment to international standards of respiratory care and patient safety.
His clinical practice includes advanced respiratory and sleep investigations, with a strong focus on accurate diagnosis and personalized care.
