Dr. Ibrahim M. Dounia is a well-established and highly skilled consultant in Ophthalmology with subspecialty in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. He has been practicing since 1995 in Lebanon and different Arab countries where he earned a strong reputation for his esteem medical competence, high ethical standards and treasured patient care.

Dr. Dounia graduated from the American University of Beirut as an Ophthalmologist. He then finished a two year fellowship program at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Tufts University in Boston to capitalize on his acquired knowledge and surgical as well as clinical skills.

Dr. Dounia is a member of the Lebanese Society of Ophthalmologist, a member of the International Committee of the American Association of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS). He established a prestigious specialized eye centre in Beirut (Ophthalmic Consultants of Beirut-OCB) and is currently a mentor and trainer for many Ophthalmology Residents at the Lebanese American University-Rizk Hospital.

Dr. Dounia is well known for playing professional Basketball, and he holds many honours for his athletic achievements and fair play.
