Anxiety
Anxiety is a feeling of worry or fear that can range from mild to severe. It can be normal, but it can also be excessive and irrational. Anxiety disorders are a group of mental health conditions characterized by persistent and excessive anxiety, which can manifest in various ways.
Symptoms:
- Feeling nervous, restless or tense
- Having a sense of impending danger, panic or doom
- Having an increased heart rate
- Breathing rapidly (hyperventilation)
- Sweating
- Trembling
- Feeling weak or tired
- Trouble concentrating or thinking about anything other than the present worry
- Having trouble sleeping
- Experiencing gastrointestinal (GI) problems
- Having difficulty controlling worry
- Having the urge to avoid things that trigger anxiety
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD):
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is a mental and behavioral disorder, characterized by excessive, uncontrollable and often irrational worry about events or activities.
